Fjord view 2 – double bed – NOK 920,-
Our guest room fjord view 2 is a cosy little room (8,6 m2) with a double bed. The room is on the first floor (no lift). The bathroom is just on the other side of the corridor, and shared with the neighbouring room. Although the room is quite small, you have enough space to relax. Use the shared living room, the kitchen or the big garden around the house.
In the morning you will wake up from the smell of freshly baked bread rolls for breakfast. An excellent breakfast with our own and other regional products await you in our charming old dining room. The breakfast in our little bed & breakfast is the “top point of the holiday” (extract from the guest book).
The house is furnished in an old country house style. A lot of the furniture were made in the local furniture factory Brødrene Bjotveit AS. The sofa and the table are from this factory and were made around 1950. With its special royal style carvings, the sofa invites you to spend a romantic evening in the room. The little wood stove keeps you warm in cold spring or autumn evenings – you will feel like you are on holiday in a little Norwegian mountain cabin.
Just remember that old beds are shorter then new ones. The double bed in this room is 1,91 m long. Old houses are also not that well isolated, so you may hear noises from the neighbouring room. We ask you to show respect for the other guests in the house, especially in the evening / night.
The view from this room is gorgeous – fjord and mountains as far as you can see. You can see directly to the Hardanger bridge, the 12. longest suspension bridge in the world. It’s a really nice evening walk from the farm to the bridge. More activity proposals you find here. You also see our cherry trees, especially in flowering it’s a breath taking view. During the season will we spoil you with fresh cherries, plums and raspberries for breakfast.
There is enough space for an extra baby travel bed (50,- NOK per night).
Included in the price is breakfast, linens, towels, bathrobes, slippers and Wi-Fi.
Our guesthouse is a house with its own historical charm. The house was restored and extended by Johannes Bjotveit who together with his brother Gunnar G. Bjotveit ran the art furniture factory “Bjotveit Brothers A/S”. Our guesthouse is furnished with furniture from the workshop.
Surrounded by the orchards and the beautiful landscape, you can relax and rest. An excellent breakfast with our own and other regional products await you in our charming old dining room. Every morning we have fresh homemade bread rolls.
We have four unique and lovely guestrooms. Two rooms share one bathroom. All rooms share the common rooms such as the living room with a TV and the kitchen. The kitchen is fully equipped. During breakfast time the kitchen is closed to our guests, because we using it to prepare the meal. The rest of the day you can use it to prepare dinner or lunch for yourself.
Around the house is a big garden you can use for relaxing, enjoying the view or to have a barbecue.
All bedrooms are on the first floor. Unfortunately the house is NOT fit for wheelchair users. NO animals.
